Quality Management System

Our quality management system is based on 50 years’ experience of educating personnel, close cooperation with the business sector and our own development department, which incorporates new research findings from around the world.

Over the years, our development department has produced its own pedagogic model for working executives. Contemporary knowledge and training in actual business cases increase IHM students’ ability to see new opportunities, take action and bring about change.

We update the content of our programmes to include new research findings from around the world, and through close cooperation with the business community.

Our academic staff are selected for their pedagogic abilities and their real-life experiences, and all of them enjoy ongoing competence development through IHM.

Quality that Opens up International Opportunities

Quality assurance of IHM’s education activities is scrutinised by third parties: the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education and Utbildningsföretagen, the association of private education providers, which is part of Almega.

IHM is a well-established operator and is a member of the international trade organisations EFMD and UNICON.

European Qualification Standard – SEQF

Our education programmes are graded according to levels in the Swedish Qualification Framework/SeQF – the Swedish arm of the European Qualification Framework or EQF.

EQF is essentially the European Union’s official education standard and qualification translation system for lifelong learning. It enables comparison and quality assurance between the Swedish academic world and establishments across Europe which offer further education and training for working professionals.

In June 2018 IHM Business School became the first private business school in Sweden to qualify for Level 6. SeQF 6 sends a clear signal to employers as regards the level of professional skills in a particular area they can expect from job applicants. Level 6 is often a requirement for senior management positions, in particular internationally.

The level was granted for our DIHM Diploma in Business Administration, which is a degree-level qualification. It is intended for personnel seeking to distinguish themselves as professional business developers, based on the qualification demands of careers such as Head of Sales/Marketing, Product Owner, Operations Manager, Business Developer with sales, or President/Managing Director/CEO.

All of IHM’s Higher Vocational Education programmes have SeQF Level 5.

ALMEGA

IHM is also a certified education provider according to the strict quality criteria of Utbildningsföretagen – the Swedish association of private education providers.

This makes it easier for anyone procuring education and training services to assess their quality. See the association’s website to find out more about the certification process.

EFMD AND UNICON

We are also members of EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) and UNICON (Global Consortium for University-Based Executive Education) – two global organisations which promote and drive the development of management and leadership education.
